The Red Sox have one finalist for a Silver Slugger Award: Alex Bregman.

After his first season in Boston, Bregman is up against Junior Caminero of the Rays and José Ramírez of the Guardians for the top offensive honor at third base.

American League Silver Slugger results will be revealed Nov. 7.

Bregman, 31, would seem to be a long shot to win the award. Among AL third basemen with at least 450 plate appearances, he ranked fifth in batting average (.273), tied for first in OBP (.360), third in slugging percentage (.462), fourth in home runs (18), and sixth in RBIs (62).

In Bregman’s strong overall season, his numbers were far better (.299/.385/.553) before suffering a quadriceps injury in late May. After missing about seven weeks, Bregman never quite found his rhythm, posting a .250/.338/.386 slash line the rest of the way.

Silver Slugger winners are determined by a vote of the manager and three coaches from each team in the league.

Bregman signed a three-year, $120 million contract in February. He plans to exercise his right to opt out of the deal and become a free agent again after the World Series.
