About 21,690 cotton candy makers sold at Aldi stores nationwide last year have been recalled because they might cook the candy or they might burn your home.
The problem with Ambiano Cotton Candy Makers, made by Wuensche USA? The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice explains: “The heating element can cause sugar to ignite if a consumer uses the product without the included sugar receptacle, posing a fire hazard.”
Wuensche knows of 12 times the cotton candy makers sparked or caught fire.
This covers Ambiano Cotton Candy Makers in teal or red, model No. 836098 sold at Aldis in August and September 2024.
If you have one of these, take it back to any Aldi for a refund. Or email two photos, one showing the power cord unplugged and cut and the other showing a photo of the model number and date code 08/2024, to Wuensche at service@801service.net.
Questions about this recall can be answered by Aldi at 800-325-7894 or via an online form or by emailing Wuensche at the address above.
