BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Tigers (3-2) are set to host the Miami Norland Vikings (4-1) at Dick Blake Stadium on Space Coast Daily TV in prep football action this Friday.
Kickoff for this powerhouse matchup is set for 7 p.m. with Space Coast Daily’s Juan Rodriguez will be on the call.
The Tigers will look to get back on track after dropping their last game against Venice before their bye week.
Senior wide receiver and UCF commit Jayvan Boggs is averaging 170 yards per game and has 11 total touchdowns. Michigan commit quarterback Brady Hart has already thrown for 1,726 yards, and 16 touchdowns with a 66% completion percentage.
On defense, the team is led by senior 5-star EDGE Javion Hilson who will be another player to keep an eye on in this matchup.
The Cocoa Tigers entered this season as back-to-back state champions after claiming their sixth state title in program history and the second under head coach Ryan Schneider.
On the other hand, the Norland Vikings are coming off a 49-16 win over Archbishop McCarthy last week.
Miami Norland is a South Florida football program with a rich history of NFL alumni. Players who played High School football for the Vikings include Antonio Brown, Duke Johnson, Xavier Rhodes, and Dwayne Bowe to name a few.
Norland is ranked no. 50 in the nation on Max Prep’s recent rankings.
