Papua New Guinea’s push to have a K30 billion economy by 2030 through the agriculture sector was highlighted on Tuesday during the Rumion Piggery Field Day held at the Umi Corn Farm Plantation in the Markham Valley of Morobe Province.

The event featured the launching of the 2nd Corn Harvest of more than 550 hectares of land at the Umi Farm in Markham Valley. The harvest will kick off later this month and run till June or July, producing an estimated value of more than K5 million.
