Gold, silver output at Colombia’s Segovia mine increases in Jan-Nov

Canadian company GCM Mining reported that the January-November production of gold and silver at its Segovia complex in Colombia’s Antioquia department rose year-on-year by 5% and 27%, respectively.
Gold output amounted to 188,359oz, while silver reached 210,817oz, the company said in a press release.
Segovia is made up of several mines, including El Silencio, Sandra K, Providencia and Carla.
In November alone, gold output was 17,799oz while that of silver totaled 24,593oz.
In Colombia, the company is currently the largest underground producer of gold and silver.
Colombia produced 47.6t of gold last year, mines and energy minister Diego Mesa said in an interview with BNamericas. With the expectation of doubling output by 2030, the government is busy promoting exploration activities.
