FabArc Steel Supply, Inc., Alabama’s largest steel subcontractor, has successfully completed a $200 million-plus contract for Amplify, a manufacturing facility in Byhalia, Mississippi. This achievement marks the largest contract in the company’s history, underscoring its capability to handle complex, large-scale industrial projects.
Donnie Bragg, project manager at FabArc Steel Supply, emphasized the collaborative effort involved. “This project represents a true team effort, not just within FabArc Steel Supply but across all of our partners,” he said. “The scale of this project required everyone’s expertise, and I am incredibly proud of the dedication and precision our team demonstrated to bring this facility to life.”
The project involved more than 28,000 tons of structural steel, including some of the heaviest standard shapes produced in North America. FabArc Steel Supply fabricated and delivered roof trusses exceeding 80 feet in length and weighing up to 40,000 pounds each. At peak production, the company shipped over 60 truckloads weekly to an outside paint facility and another 60 truckloads directly to the jobsite.
FabArc Steel Supply, headquartered in Oxford, Alabama, operates two manufacturing plants with over 300,000 square feet of fabricating space and employs more than 300 skilled workers. The company is also an industry partner with Oxford’s Choccolocco Research, Education, Arts, and Technical Experience (CREATE), providing career tech education opportunities for students from five counties.
